The Sunday Post #30 - Planning for August

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer
It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things you received, share news about what is coming up on your blog for the week ahead, and more.

Eek! My husband just surprised me with a copy of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child! I'd been saving up my Swagbucks money to get it so I guess I get to spend that on something else now! (*ahem* The Girl Who Drank the Moon)
My week has mostly been spent trying to catch up with my blogging, emails, etc but we also took two trips out to 'out of the way' parks for picnics and exercise.

I still have a lot of catching up to do but I'm excited for the new month. I'll be participating in ARC August and there's a Bout of Books as well!

Books I Finished This Week

What I'm Currently Reading

(physical books)
Wednesdays in the Tower by Jessica Day George
I've been waiting on this book for months. This is such a cute series.

Paper and Fire by Rachel Caine
I started Wednesdays in the Tower because this one was just boring me. I liked Ink and Bone but I don't know about this one so far. Someone assure me that it gets better so I don't end up in a slump trying to finish it.

(ebook)
Sunborn Rising: Beneath the Fall by Aaron Safronoff
I just started this but I think I'm really going to enjoy it. The worldbuilding is incredible!

Currently Watching

Stranger Things
So I kind of really love this so far. I love that everything about it screams 80's from the title font to the music. It's literally like watching something from the 80's (well, at least from what I know of it... I was just a toddler in the 80's.)

Have a great week!

  1. Yay for the book, and I'll be looking forward to your Spiderwick review. I've seen the movie but not read the books. I love DiTerlizzi's artwork though.

Stranger Things is pretty fun, I watched it last week and want more!

  2. How sweet! Now you get to buy something else! It's nice when things just work out. It has been too hot to be out during the day - unless water is involved!

  3. Thanks for the heads up re: Bout of Books. I've heard really good things about Sunborn Rising so I'll be watching to see if you continue to like it.
