2020 ABC Reading Challenge

I've been doing the ABC reading challenge for years now but have never joined in or linked to any of the alphabet blog challenges. I'd love to stay motivated and find titles to fill in my usual gaps though so I'm linking up with the Alphabet Soup Reading Challenge this year!

I enjoy giving myself a variety of books to choose from and I'm basically just going by my 100-book TBR list that I do every year on listchallenges! There's a possibility that I will read books not on this list so I will eventually add a list for the books I actually do read!

Read-A-Thon (May 13th - 19th) GOALS

Only 6 more days until Bout Of Books' week long read-a-thon begins!

Bout Of Books has asked those participating to make a post outlining their goals for the read-a-thon. As I said in my sign-up post, this is my first time participating in a read-a-thon so I don't know what to expect. I'll also be starting my very first online college class on the 13th and I don't know how long that will take me each day to complete. And of course, I have certain obligations around the house, etc that need to be taken care of. BUT I will be dedicating every single bit of free time I have to reading.

I'm still not sure exactly what books I will be reading. I have a hard time choosing any book ahead of schedule and sticking to that choice so I think I will need to give myself some room. I've set aside two piles of books for it, though. One pile is adult lit novels such as 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho and 'Night' by Elie Wiesel. The other pile is middle grade novels that I just haven't had time to read such as 'The Thief Lord' by Cornelia Funke. If I choose to read middle grade novels, one big goal that coincides with it is to read all four 'Books Of Ember' by Jeanne DePrau which a friend gifted to me via Amazon ebook. I read 'City Of Ember' years ago but I'll need to read it again before reading the sequels.

MY GOALS

Join in on a Twitter Chat

Read at least 7-10 books

Keep track of what books I read and how many pages I read daily

Write a quick review for each book I read during the week

Keep in touch with others who are doing this read-a-thon

_______________________________________

That doesn't seem like much but until I actually know how this read-a-thon is going to go, I don't want to put too much pressure on myself.
