Synopsis:
After the events of Hotel Bruce, the curmudgeonly bear shares his home with not only his four geese but three rowdy mice besides! Fed up with their shenanigans, Bruce sets off to find a rodent-free household. But as usual, nothing goes quite according to plan...

Our Thoughts:

Our favorite grumpy bear is back and... gone again... in Bruce's Big Move! Not only is Bruce the mother of four young geese, but he has also taken on some unexpected houseguests that push him to move out in search of wider, less annoying, spaces. He looks and looks and settles on the perfect place to build a new home. But then the moving truck arrives, and with it, three very friendly mice!

Bruce is ready for a fresh start in the third book in the Mother Bruce series! Will he get his longed for peace and quiet?

The Mother Bruce picture books are great to read aloud, especially if you give accents to the mice (that were introduced in Be Quiet!) There's plenty of humor for both adult and child in this fun series about a gruff bear that unwillingly becomes a mother to four geese and roommate to a few boisterous mice that stir Bruce's life up quite a bit.

I love Higgins' illustration style. There's always plenty of detail and depth and lots of nature and cute critters. My daughter and I especially enjoyed all the adorable woodland creatures introduced in this sequel! We are looking forward to more Mother Bruce and 'friends'!
