The Sunday Post #27 - Oh, the heat!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer
It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things you received, share news about what is coming up on your blog for the week ahead, and more.

It has been so very hot this week. We went on a picnic the other day but mostly we've been cooped up in the a/c. My plants are not faring well. No amount of watering helps.
Today I will be at a family member's birthday party so I'll be a bit late with visiting other blogs.
I hope you all have a great week!

Books I Finished This Week
I was hoping to have more read by now but life has been taking up all my reading time. It will be even harder for me to fit in reading time in the next two weeks but I shall try.

What I'm Currently Reading

(physical book)
Some Kind of Happiness by Claire Legrand
This is not what I thought it would be but still a good read.

(ebook)
Nevernight by Jay Kristoff
I should probably be done with this one by now but... excuses. The writing style is kind of weird and there's a lot of softcore porn type of stuff in it even though it's young-adult. The worldbuilding is pretty cool though.
And just as a reminder, I have a Nevernight bookmark giveaway up on my TBR post this month. :)

  1. I think The Wolf Road sounds good and I've heard mixed things about Nevernight. Hope it cools off for you this week.

    1. I think Fairest was my favorite of the series, although it is a bit twisted. I hope you have a great week as well!

  3. Damned summer. It's winter here in Australia so I'm relieved to be rugging up in layers rather than feeling like I'm unable to get cool!

  4. I still have to read Cress, so I can get to Winter. From what I've read of Nevernight, I will definitely be skipping it.
