The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer
It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things you received, share news about what is coming up on your blog for the week ahead, and more.
Wow, things are boring right now. I have almost nothing to talk about at all! My veggie garden is already suffering heavily from the oppressive heat but I have a couple of cucumbers! My blueberries will be ready to pick soon. And my yard has lots of little patches of beautiful wild lilies everywhere. Other than that... nada. I hope you all are having more interesting and productive weeks.

Spirited Away
I thought I had seen this movie, perhaps as a kid, but none of it was familiar and now I'm totally in love with Studio Ghibli again and gosh this movie was so weird and wonderful at the same time.

It's almost blasphemy for me to be watching something I haven't read the books to first but I'm rewatching season 1 on Netflix because the next two seasons were added recently and I am seriously out of things to watch on there.

I hope you all had a lovely week!

What I'm Currently Reading
(physical book)
Good Omens by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman
This is the book I am Buddy Reading with my sister. So far we are reading it in small portions and discussing. It's so hard to find the time to read at this pace as a blogger so I may have to sneak in a review book that releases soon!
(ebook)
Stars Above by Marissa Meyer
A library borrow, this is a series of short stories from the Lunar Chronicles series that released earlier this year. After this one I will be done with this series and even though I enjoyed the books, I honestly can't wait to move on to something different.

Blueberries! that's cool you have your own to pick! I started Bitten a while back but never finished the first season- I liked it but got sidetracked somehow, I should finish it up. I've noticed I'm running out of stuff on Netflix too...
ReplyDeleteHave a great week. :)
My kiddo likes to pick them off before they're ripe every time we are outside so I'll be lucky to get a handful or two but I'm still looking forward to it. I love blueberries. :)
DeleteI can't wait till we are no longer living in an apartment and I can have a small garden again. We grow herbs on our patio but it's not the same as being able to pick your on blueberries or cucumbers or tomatoes. I'm a little jealous ;)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week!
My Sunday Post
I love being able to walk outside and pick a pepper or a handful of green beans for dinner. On the other hand, I have the worst luck with herbs for some reason! Thank you for stopping by! :)
DeleteThere is nothing like homegrown produce. We had a blueberry bush till we moved and I loved it. We'd literally go out on a morning and pick some for our cereal. I haven't read Lady Susan in years but was thinking I might with the recent movie release just to see if it's how I remember it. Have a good week. Emma
ReplyDeleteI LOVE blueberries in my cereal! I'd love to get a few more bushes so I can make some preserves. I really wish Lady Susan was longer! It's been years since I read any Austen and now I feel like re-reading some of her novels. I forgot how good they are!
DeleteRemember this quiet week when things get crazy..sometimes boring is good. i hope you get some rain. Yum to blueberries. I also love cucumber salad.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the positive outlook, Kim!
DeleteWe got lots of rain today and there's a tropical storm heading our way tomorrow. It will be really humid afterward but my plants will feel better! :)
I'm with Kim. Remeber this mellow week! LOL
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post
I agree! I love a stress free week!
DeleteThank you so much for stopping by! Have a great week! :)
Beautiful lillies, I have one growing outside my dining room window and it grows about an inch everyday! It is crazy and it hasn't even flowered!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week!
I didn't have a real interesting week either...lol. I really like Bitten and I haven't read the book either though I do have the first one in that series! :)

Week in Review
I loved Spirited Away. It is definitely weirdly wonderful.
ReplyDeleteOh Lady Susan... you've reminded me I read that ages ago but can't recall much of it. It somehow involves correspondence doesn't it? I've got Jane Austen's complete works just metres from me, so guess I could look!
