The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer
It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things you received, share news about what is coming up on your blog for the week ahead, and more.
It has been a pretty uneventful week. I've been reading more and blogging less since my laptop always seems to be dead on the rare moments that I can use it (when my toddler is occupied or sleeping). I'm way behind on reviews!
In other news; it's been hot enough here that we broke out the kiddie pool to play in! It feels like summer already but then again, I know summer will be soooo much worse.
Oh, and we saw our first Monarch butterfly of the season on St. Patrick's Day! Since then I've seen 4 more on my milkweed so it's only a matter of time before we have some caterpillars!

Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas
I'm pretty sure I'm going to have serious withdrawals after I finish this. It's ok, September is only SIX months away!
(physical book)
Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm by Kate Douglas Wiggin
I'm reading this for my '1001 Children's Books to Read Before You Grow Up' list but I've been stuck on the first few pages for the past two days. I may choose to read something else until I'm in the mood for this.

How was your week? Read anything good?
I really want to read Sarah J. Maas' books but I don't know which series to start with. Should I start with the Throne of Glass series or does it not matter?
ReplyDeleteIt's been fairly warm here too. Nice enough to not wear a coat when you're stood in the sunshine at least but not warm enough for anything else.
I'm now off to read your review of Room!
Happy reading :)
I haven't started her second series yet so I'm not sure if it matters which one you start first but Throne of Glass was her debut novel and has more books out so I started with that one first! :)
DeleteButterflies must mean warm weather is here, haven't seen any here yet with our wacky temps (nice one day, not the next) but soon hopefully. I'm going to try and get to the Maas books this spring... and Phantom tollbooth sounds so familiar, i must have read that as a kid or something. I don't remember much about it though...
ReplyDeleteThe temp dropped down to 60's-70's today and I'm loving it! I've got all the windows open. We are definitely headed towards warm weather though! :)
DeleteThe Phantom Tollbooth honestly doesn't seem like a very memorable book. It's pretty wordy but nothing really happens in it!
I have not read Rebecca of Sunnybrook but I probably should :( There are SOOOO many classics I haven't read that I know I will LOVE! I feel like a bad reader; no street creds ;)
ReplyDeleteSend some heat up this way, we'll take it!!! Have a great week!!!
I completely understand! I feel the same way about a ton of books! I've made it a goal to read more children's classics just because I feel like I should have read them as a kid but didn't!
DeleteI hope you love all of your new books this week. They look amazing.

Thank you so much for stopping by, Grace!
DeleteLooks like some great new reads to keep you happy. The weather turned cool this weekend but it'll be gone by Tuesday. Can't wait for the pool to warm up enough to swim:) I saw my first Gecko this week. Soon, they'll be everywhere. That's a sign that spring is here at last!
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post
I like the idea of adding a to-do list to your Sunday post!
ReplyDeleteAnd yay for spring and the kiddie pool! Look forward to your reviews :) I'm kind of falling behind on reviews...! Oh well ;)
