The Sunday Post #33 - Can summer please just be over?

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer
It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things you received, share news about what is coming up on your blog for the week ahead, and more.

August seems like such a long month and yet it is flying by for me. I haven't been in the mood to blog or basically get anything done lately. I guess I'm just in a funk? I'm tired of being cooped up indoors. I'm ready for Fall (though we don't really have that here in Florida.) Halloween always gets me in the mood to craft or create art and it's still way early but I'm ready for it. I've already started some of my spooky decor crafts and am brainstorming our costumes. I've also got my spooky TBR all planned out as well. (Forgive me, guys! Thinking about a change in season is the only thing keeping me sane right now!)

Books I Finished This Week

What I'm Currently Reading
I'm not actually reading anything right now because I only just finished A Darker Shade of Magic but here's the two books I will mostly like start reading later tonight.

What I'm Listening To
I've been a bit addicted to the GOT Season 6 soundtrack. I haven't caught up with the show yet because I still need to finish reading A Feast For Crows and A Dance With Dragons. I've had to avoid spoilers like the plague but it's George R.R. Martin. I can guess what's going to happen to all of my favorites. Haha! Light of the Seven and The Winds of Winter are my favorites from this soundtrack and have been on almost constant repeat.

Have a great week!

  1. Yeah I'm kinda ready for autumn and all that stuff, the leaves and cooler temps. I saw a review of Fear the Drowning Deep last week and added it to my TBR, so I'll be interested to see what you think. It sounds great.

    1. I haven't seen any reviews for it yet but I'm hoping I enjoy it too!
This week has been even hotter than usual and with all the rain, the humidity is so high that the air just feels so heavy! It's not very pleasant. I'm really looking forward to cooler weather.

  2. I'm right there with you. Being in SoCal, there's really no such thing as fall or winter but it does cool down some, and I'm looking forward to that. Plus, as you said, the fall/winter months brings out the creativity in me and I find myself either doing crafts or trying new recipes.

    1. Oh yes, I'm really looking forward to baking and trying new recipes, too! I try my hardest not to use the oven during the summer and I'm ready for something different! :)

  3. Hmm, when we lived in Coral Springs, Fl we had a fall. I could even turn off the air for a few months. Our temps this weekend have been in the low 70'sI feel like I am dreaming. Stay cool. Enjoy your new books!!

    1. It does start to cool off after October but it's usually still hot until after Christmas and there's no trees in my area that change colors or anything so I don't really consider it Fall for anything other than the slightly cooler weather. The 70's is my ideal temperature though!

  4. There is just something about the Fall that says get :) Enjoy your books!

  5. Liking some of your books this week. And once I get over summer ending, I can't wait for Halloween. I get all crafty too and stock up on scary books and movies. LOL

  6. OOOOOHHHHH! How was ADOSM? I recently read This Savage Song and while I own ADOSM and AGOS, I still haven't gotten around to it! I also have Fear the Drowning Deep and it sounds (and looks) so gorgeous, I'm so excited for it.

    Lovely Sunday post!

  7. I just picked up Sunborn Rising for free and am excited to start it as soon as I can fit it in (it isn't on audio, so I have to fit it around my reading for the blog).
