Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews that features the books we bought, borrowed, were gifted, and were given for review.
First off, I'm going to explain that there are absolutely no bookstores anywhere near where I live. I also cannot purchase books online. So my resources are limited to thrift stores and Wal-Mart. (*sarcastic 'Yay'*). I also do not own a physical e-reader but I have recently downloaded the free Kindle For PC to my computer and even though I cannot purchase ebooks, there are tons of free books to choose from and I have also discovered the online ebook lending library that my local library offers through Overdrive. So where do I get my books? The majority of them come from thrift stores. I'm okay with that because secondhand books need love, too. :)

Unfortunately, I haven't received anything since last Friday even though I am waiting on two separate packages. Hopefully they will come soon so I can be super excited and jump around the house and then tweet about it and share with you guys. :(
Let me know if you've read any of these books! What did you get in your mailbox this week?

My sister liked Heir Apparent! It's been a while since she read it, but she liked it. I haven't read it yet. And I liked The Lost Hero, for the most part! I haven't read the next book though. I'm so behind!
ReplyDeleteHope you love all of your books and goodies! Have a lovely weekend :)
Check out my STS post!
My sister is a big fan of Vivian Vande Velde, too, but I've yet to read anything of hers!
DeleteI read Heir Apparent a while back and it was really good! It's actually part of a series, so I'm hoping to pick up the rest. :)

I love finding fun books at thrift stores-such great prices for a few hours of enjoyment! The Warrior Heir especially looks good. Enjoy all these!
ReplyDeleteHere are my newest additions
Yes! Thrift stores have been my best friends lately because the nearest bookstore is almost an hours drive away from where I live. I've probably saved a ton of money getting books for 50 cents, though. I'm really excited to read 'The Warrior Heir'. :)
