The Sunday Post #17

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer
It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things you received, share news about what is coming up on your blog for the week ahead, and more.

I can't believe it's already May! We are already nearly half way through the year!
It was in the mid 90's yesterday! I am dreading this summer. It is going to be soooo hot! The kind of hot  that makes  you never want to leave your house in fear that you'll get heat stroke after just five minutes. Don't even get me started on the humidity.
Anyway, hubby and I have been painting the house after Lovebug goes to bed. When we moved in, the walls were yellow and a green that's just a shade or two lighter than the old chalkboards. The darkness was starting to depress me so we are painting everything white to brighten things up.
Nothing else is new except that I forgot to post my Stacking the Shelves.

I took a three day break from reading this week so these are the same books I listed last Sunday.

Cress by Marissa Meyer

The Assassin's Blade by Sarah J. Maas

What I'm Watching
I came across this after finding an animated storybook for my daughter to watch and thought it was so fun (destruction of books aside, of course).

  1. Hi Stacy! As you guys are preparing for summer, we are preparing for winter in SA. First day I can say I'm really cold and just got wrapped in a blanket with my book. The only advantage of winter in my opinion.

    1. We don't really have a winter here in Florida! Just 11 months of summer! Haha. I do really enjoy the short cold month/s though. It's always nice to bundle up and read! Stay warm and thanks for visiting! :)

    1. I've been in Florida for the majority of my life and I still can't handle the high temps! IT's crazy that it's so hot already. Today was even worse!

  4. I love a new paint job, especially if it brightens things up...happy blogoversary! Enjoy!

We have hit the 90s here, but that's nothing compared to what lies ahead in the summer...triple digits regularly!

    1. Thank you! I'm loving how bright it is in here now!
I honestly don't know how people live in places that get above 100! I thought Florida was bad but we at least get a regular breeze, even inland, and it rains a lot. Can't forget the 72 degree fresh water springs, either! :)

  5. I wouldn't mind some warmer weather but mid 90's is too hot. And when the humidity cranks up, yeah it becomes less fun.

    Bob's Burgers looks fun. :)

    1. Oh yeah, that humidity gets terrible!
Have you seen the Bob's Burgers show yet? I think it's on Netflix. I don't watch a lot of adult cartoons anymore but it can be pretty funny. :)

  7. I'm repainting all of the indoor trim and doors. I find I like the smell of fresh paint. LOL Your books are awesome, especially those children's reads. I always enjoy them. It's almost 90 hear and that means it will just keep getting hotter. Not going to complain though, as I whined about the cold all winter. LOL
