Book Blogger Hop (Dec 5 - 11)

The Book Blogger Hop is hosted at Ramblings Of A Coffee Addicted Writer and this week's question is: 

What is your favorite part about reading a book? 

Figuring out the plot ahead of time, the feeling of the actual book itself, experiencing the plot unfold, getting to know the characters - or something else entirely?

I love that these questions always give me a lot to think about, even if I'm not quite sure how to answer them. 

I'm not exactly sure how to go about answering this question, to be honest. I read for so many reasons. I enjoy entering new worlds and experiencing new perspectives. I love reading books that make me feel and that introduce me to things that I've either never been introduced to before or that have never crossed my mind. There are so many things about reading that I love that it's hard to choose just one thing, but I guess just to answer the question, my favorite part about reading is getting lost in a book. All those other things - the plot, characters, feeling, etc. - seem so insignificant when compared to the experience of reading itself. I just enjoy reading and everything about it.

MY GOALS / WHAT I PLAN ON READING

This will be my first time participating in this challenge. I'm signing up a little early because I probably won't have time in the future to put out lengthy posts like this. 

I recently got a tablet to read the free ebooks that I've accumulated on Amazon over the past year. Before that I only had the app on my desktop which was no fun to read at! Technically, I'll be in the 'just started' cleaning stage but I hope to participate in future COYERs to help even out my 'one-click' freebie obsession.

A book that I've already started but am sure will take me most of the month to read is:

Far From the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy

There's no telling what I'll read after that since having an ereader is very new to me! Here are some of the free ebooks that I have added to my device from my Amazon cloud (which consists of over 1500 ebooks now).

The Book Blogger Hop is hosted at Ramblings Of A Coffee Addicted Writer and this week's question is: 

Do you visit the same blogs each week or do you branch out and try to find new blogs?

It really depends.

I follow a lot of book blogs via Bloglovin' and sometimes it will suggest other book blogs to follow and I do. I visit a lot of the same blogs that I've been following for years that I found through Tumblr, etc. and I do tend to search out my favorites.

But I do occasionally visit a new blog through some meme or other (think Top Ten Tuesday or Stacking the Shelves) and comment on their post and follow if their blog is new to me. I also visit and follow the blogs of people who leave comments and links on my TTT & STS posts. 

I actually love following new blogs because there are so many unique perspectives on different books and I love to read everyone's reviews.
