Stacking The Shelves #2

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews that features the books we bought, borrowed, were gifted, and were given for review.

First off, I'm going to explain that there are absolutely no bookstores anywhere near where I live. I also cannot purchase books online. So my resources are limited to thrift stores and Wal-Mart. (*sarcastic 'Yay'*). I also do not own a physical e-reader but I have recently downloaded the free Kindle For PC to my computer and even though I cannot purchase ebooks, there are tons of free books to choose from and I have also discovered the online ebook lending library that my local library offers through Overdrive. So where do I get my books? The majority of them come from thrift stores. I'm okay with that because secondhand books need love, too. :)

The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey

This was a complete surprise. I didn't order it, I didn't win it, and I only have a small clue where it came from. On the back of the Advance Uncorrected Galley it says that part of the $750,000 marketing campaign includes a 'massive deluxe gallery distribution'. I'm not 'in league' with any publishers or anything so I'm wondering exactly how I was chosen to be sent this! I have no clue! But I'm okay with that because now I get to read this and I've heard so many great things from the people who have read it so far. I was actually waiting on a book that I won from thesqueee and thought this was it but was pleasantly surprised. I'm happy to finally have something rather new to read and review for my blog! :)

For some reason, I couldn't place those exactly where I wanted and it took me forever to get them the way they are anyways.
