Sunday Post #54 - Strawberry Season!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer
It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things you received, share news about what is coming up on your blog for the week ahead, and more.

We have had more bipolar weather this week. It rained most of last week and then was extra hot but the past two days have been freezing (for Florida) so we are back to bundling up under blankets. It's strawberry season though so this week should be full of yummy treats. I'll be making jam for the first time as well as fruit leather for the kiddo and of course, strawberry shortcake! Yum! If you've got any other strawberry treat ideas, please put them in the comments! I'll share my concoctions next week. :)

What You Might Have Missed
February was a pretty good reading month for me as you can see in my Wrap Up. I shared my March TBR which mostly consists of what I'm reading for the Take Control TBR challenge. I shared my excitement for The Boy on the Bridge by M.R. Carey in this week's Can't Wait Wednesday. I reviewed books 2 & 3 in A Series of Unfortunate Events as well as a DNF review for The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco. Last of all, I shared the Beauty's Thief by Konstanz Silverbow Book Blast & Giveaway.

Keep an eye out for my overdue reviews on Gemina and A Court of Thorns and Roses!

Books I Finished This Week

Currently Reading

Currently Watching
Trolls, Trolls, and more Trolls.
And some Angry Birds.
I've been a little more focused on reading this week but these kids movies are always playing in the background and I can basically recite them word for word now. They play in my dreams, as well. *eye twitch*

Currently Listening To:
Endless Melancholy - You Are The Moonlight
This is slow and kind of melancholy but it's wordless and great background music for reading!

Have a great week, Sunday Posters! :)

    1. I always feel kind of rediculous saying that it's cold here but when you're used to 90+ degree weather 10+ months out of the year, 60 is pretty chilly! I don't think I could make it up north!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great week! :D

  3. We are all over the place here too with the temperatures. I'm currently freezing to death but Tuesday was almost hot. Yay for strawberries! I'm in North Alabama so we're a few weeks behind you on that but I'm already looking forward to it. I'll be looking for your concoctions too. I never feel like I get enough use out of my strawberries. Have a great week!

    1. If my toddler doesn't eat them all, I might have enough strawberries left to make some strawberry lemonade! Haha.

  7. Ahhh, the joys of living around kids with the tv on! And that is where my love of cartoons comes from :) Just steer them clear of Nickelodeon and all will be right with the world, IMHO. Awesome reads this week, btw!!! And my vote is for dipping those strawberries in chocolate... mmmmmmmm!!

    Have a great week!!

  8. I live in Northern California and our weather has been crazy too. Raining one week and then sunny the next. We need the rain but I'm so tired of it and ready for warmer weather. Strawberry season sounds so yummy and I love all the treats you make. I hope you have a great week!

  9. I love fresh strawberries. Homemade strawberry jam is one of my favorites, but I also love fresh strawberries with a little bit of balsamic vinegar drizzled over. Add a little sugar if the strawberries aren't sweet enough with just the vinegar.

I hope you enjoy your books and have a great week.

  10. Yup the weather is just unbearably crazy! I love strawberries! YUM! My strawberry treat is my famous Berri Berri Sangria :) [on my blog!] of I see that you are liking A series of unfortunate events. Unfortunately I did not like book 1 AT ALL! :(
