Top Ten Books I've Read So Far In 2013

(In no specific order)

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
This book was just so magical. I loved it.

Divergent by Veronica Roth
I didn't like this one as much as the others but it still makes the list.

Les Miserables by Victor Hugo
This book took me a month to read but I absolutely loved it.

Howl's Moving Castle by Dianna Wynne Jones
I loved the movie but I knew I needed to read the book.

I LOVE dark, creepy, macabre stuff like this.

Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta
I wasn't expecting to love this one, but it couldn't be helped.

A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
I loved the illustrations in this one and the story was very meaningful.

The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
I loved how fast-paced this was.

The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan
I really loved the Percy Jackson series and this was just as good.

The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancey
I liked the style and the creepiness.

  2. So many good books on one list! I need to read Jellicoe Road and The Monstrologist pronto. If you haven't read The Knife Of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness, you really should because it's amazing!

  4. I am going to have to check out The Monstrumologist if you say it is creepy. I am looking for a great scary book :-) I have to erad Howl's Moving Castle. I got it not too long back and I love Miyazaki's version, so I really want to read it and see how same/different it is. Thanks for stopping by :-)

  5. Oh, Les Mis - if I had read it I am pretty sure it would be on my list too. But it's a longer project to take on (plus I want to find a really nice hardcover copy for this one). I have Night Circus also on the shelf and I'm glad so many people have good words to say about it. I've also started the 5th Wave and it is indeed fast paced, hoping to get back to it soon! And I also loved Howl's movie, I actually had no idea there is a book too - this will go to my TBR list :)

  9. Divergent ALMOST made it onto my list. Miss Peregrine is a quality book. I really want to read Jellicoe Road. A lot of people seem to love it, so I want to see what the hype is about.

  10. I LOVE your list! Divergent was one of my top favorite reads last year! The Night Circus had some of the most beautifully descriptive writing EVER! EVERYONE is talking about The 5th wave..guess I need to check that one out. I'm planning on reading Miss Peregrine's and A Monster Calls sometime this year. OH and LOVE Rick Riordan's stuff. 1. The Night Circus is one of those books that I'm ready to read again just a few months later. I loved it so much.
Definently read Miss Peregrine's soon. It's being adapted into a film (with Tim Burton as the director) that will release in 2015 so you have plenty of time. :)
