April 2016 TBR

In an attempt to structure my reading to better reach my goals I have decided to start a monthly TBR list.

In the past I would read whatever I felt like reading at the time which would 99% of the time be a library book that was just 'for fun' and at the end of the month or year I would still have a pile, shelf, or list of books that I needed to read.

I'm much more focused on reaching my goals this year so I'm hoping this helps keep me in line and organised. It's basically a trial run so we will see how it works out!

The Books

For Review
1. Grayling's Song by Karen Cushman
2. Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine
3. The Glass Castle by Trisha White Priebe

For my Lists/Challenges
1. The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman (movie adaptation)
2. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher (Tv adaptation)
3. The Scarecrow of Oz by L. Frank Baum (Finish the Series)

For Fun
1. Uprooted by Naomi Novik
2. Wonder by R.J. Palacio
3. Neversink by Barry Wolverton
4. Pax by Jenny Pennypacker
5. The Dark Days Club by Alison Goodman
6. Truthwitch by Susan Dennard
-----------------

9-12 books is kind of ambitious for me since I usually read about 7 books a month (except in March). The 'For Fun' section could change or be added to depending on whether I get any books from the library or in the mail, etc.
Hopefully this helps me stick to my goals!

  1. This is such a good idea! Maybe I'll try to follow your example... :)
It looks like you have some really good books listed for the month! I love Uprooted, and I'm so interested to see what Ink and Bone and the Dark Days Club are like! I hope this helps you reach your goals! I like that the For Fun section can be changed, gives you a bit more freedom for spontaneity ;)

    1. I honestly don't know how I've blogged for so long without having a monthly TBR!
I am afraid that it will limit my reading and put a little bit of pressure on me to read something I might not be in the mood for but maybe I need that push. I'm already cheating a little by reading two 'For Fun' books to start with but three of those are library books that will be due back soon so I guess that's ok.
I'm really loving Uprooted so far! I'm taking my time with it so I can really enjoy it! :)
